The U.S. State Department approved Enbridge Energy’s plan to reconstruct and enhance existing pipelines leading into the U.S.A. In Alberta, Canadian Tar Sands mining leaves a lifeless metallic shined chemical caldron the size of Florida (eventually). It attracts migrating birds, overflows poisons into downstream rivers, and creates a cancer plume among First Nations members living in the area.
Other horrific effects include:

(1.) Tar Sands Open Pit mining replaces a pristine Canadian Boreal (Pine) Forest Ecosystem that has been “capturing carbon” for eons.

The U.S. State Department approved Enbridge Energy’s plan to reconstruct and enhance existing pipelines leading into the U.S.A. In Alberta, Canadian Tar Sands mining leaves a lifeless metallic shined chemical caldron the size of Florida (eventually). It attracts migrating birds, overflows poisons into downstream rivers, and creates a cancer plume among First Nations members living in the area.
Other horrific effects include:
